E-COMMERCE SENDS SEMINARPLANT.COM INTO ORBIT

COLUMBIA, MD - On October 16, PowerVision Corporation deployed an updated release of Contio's SeminarPlanet.com web site. Contio, LLC, a leader in the seminar portal space, engaged PowerVision to architect the transformation of SeminarPlanet.com to a B2B and B2C solution.

Developed with Java and Oracle technologies, SeminarPlanet.com provides a forum for organizations from a variety of industries to post notices of upcoming events, such as professional conferences and workshops. Visitors can browse events by industry, date, or venue.

Visitors can now register for events and pay registration fees online via credit card. Before listing their upcoming events on SeminarPlanet.com, organizations purchase a service contract, which can now be paid by credit card or purchase order. All transactions are conducted securely in real-time, with immediate e-mail confirmation.

Visitors can also sign up to receive e-mails about news and events related to selected industries.

Contio plans to enhance SeminarPlanet.com with Continuing Education Credit tracking in the near future.
